Finally finished my build (over the course of 2+ years) = 3" OME/5100

Told my wife that it doesn't totally feel like a big difference as the build has been done in stages so I may be at 3" now, but I just added the extra inch from just my 884s which I already had on for while..

    Stage1: 5100s all around / fronts set to 1.75
    Stage2: Rear AAL
    Stage3: 884s / 5100s @ 0
    Stage4: Timbrens
    Stage5: Dakars
    Stage6: 1/2" spacer up front / LR-UCAs

Got my alignment and extended fenders (see my recon post just now) and as long as I can get my recon, I will be good to go....for awhile...lol..

Most of the install has been DIY. Some pricy mistakes along the way, but I guess that just gives me more experience to help others.. I can now even change out a steering knuckle/spindle, and swap out the wheel bearings..(long story)...

    Too long to list :D
If anyone has an edu email, Amazon will give free 6 month and even 1 year prime memberships from time to time. And they do discounts for the edu people who chose to renew their free accounts. When my sister re-upped her student prime account, it was half price ($39 for one year). I just use her account for my stuff :D

Very nice Brandon! Love the red :)

    Looks good!

lol.. Mine are 4 and 13m. Been lifted at 2" for over a year...

    Tires are 265/70/17 on 17x9s..

I love my snugtop. Can't help someone move a refrigerator, but I got neighbors with open truck beds that I can borrow... got some thule 60" rails for the camper as well.. When it comes to a day at the beach with the 3 SUPs and all the coolers and gear, I could never go a shorted without a camper.. I got lucky on CL years ago.. see them pop up some in a grey moon now-a-days..

Mine are 3 and 6. That's why we going low for now. Been looking around for a camper too. Seems like I make use of the bed a lot less than I should. Everything gets squeezed in the back seat. Ever try to go to the range with all your junks in the backseat on top of the car seats. You start looking homeless. When you start looking homeless you find yourself at servco looking at siennas. Lol. Jk. No van for now.

I ended up with a Bestop after getting tired of searching for a hard-top. Keeps everything in the bed dry, and I can put it down myself if I need to haul bigger items.

    No kids yet though :p

Yep... also i don't figure the rifle frames fit too well in a SB. I love the camper.. can throw a bunch of stuff in the bed and run to the store without having to worry too much that someone will " borrow" something...alot of times beach chairs and sand toys are just left there for next time.

Even if I had to do it all over, I would spend the extra and buy new.. totally worth it for how much we use it...

    Turned out nice!
When you spray the condenser, spray it at an angle as much as possible, so the paint stays on the forward facing surface and doesn't penetrate between the fins and lessen the efficiency. I'm going back to graveyard shifts tonight as well..

Just redid my LEDs light under the hood. The flex LEDs strip could not handle the heat. Lets see how this one turns out.

Howzit guys, I know this is way off subject but I was wondering if anyone took the pearl harbor apprenticeship test last month? Or has taken it in the past? Do we still get an email if we fail. I mean they gotta let us know how we did right. Haha. Just been wondering how I did since I didn't get an email yet. But that might be my answer right there. Anyways lmk. Thanks ahh.

Any particular paint recommended? Was thinking of going the grille craft mesh route later. Some hot components in the area so probably not just any paint will do?
