So I just bought a new Tacoma and love it! But the black Method race wheels have a circle of silver bolts that I'd rather be all black. Temporarily I've used plastidip to spray them all black. The problem is that if you look close you can tell. Not bad, just not perfect. Anyone know a better way to paint or color wheels without risking ruining them or the tires?

I've got photos on my profile. The plastidip will peel off so at least no risk so far.

    Sincere Thanks for any advice!

Those unscrew if I remember right. Just take them off and powder coat...

Just buy these from Wheelers Off-Road, they are splined and E/T. These are safer with the extended thread and tougher to steal as you need the key.

If they are removable go to your local nuts and bolts store. We have one local called nutty blots. I got 100 of my beadlock ring bolts in black.

Yes, real bolts. Plastic coating may be the way to go if I can't find the exact kind at the store. They one on the rim are purely aesthetic. But real.

A friend of mine has similar wheels. He found replacement bolts that were black. They also had a smaller head which I thought looked better.

Method sells Black ones separately and you can unscrew them in seconds

Thanks Dave...I actually emailed them and some chick said they didn't...just to either paint them or plasti coat them. I'll check with them again, it could have just been the wrong person who answered my email.

In the mean time plasti dip has worked OK for the most part. But it gradually tears off and doesn't look perfect. I've been too lazy to powder coat but that would probably work better. Again, if I can just buy black ones then that's ideal but haven't been able to find them.
