Bought two(ish) things for the truck

    1. Husky torque wrench. Might return it after a couple of uses. Feels "cheap"

    2. Waterproof/weatherproof roof top cargo bag to put on top of my bed rack for camping. I spent a couple hours a night for a few nights researching and reading reviews for a shit load of cargo bags. Settled in on the Rage Powersports RGB-01.

I'm going wheeling/camping this weekend so I'll report back with a review of my own.

The one I got is on the smaller side so it can fit on my rack

    38x38x18"

    http://www.ragepowersports.com/cargo-products/roof-cargo-bags/

They have a variety of sizes.

After reading a lot about these bags, this one seems to be the simplest design (good thing IMO), consistently reviewed as "fully waterproof" by the users, and affordable.

I almost bought the Rain-X one but too many reviews about the material becoming almost unusable (especially when zipping it up) if the temps get to 40-45 degrees or colder.

    Interesting..

    My roof rack is 42x36x7.

Been trying to find boxes to go up there but can't find anything big enough that's slim.

What do you mean by your rack only being 7" high? The bag can sit higher than your side rails, right?

The RGB-06 cargo bag is 43x35x17"

    $60 + shipping

There are cheaper ones out there, which may work as well or better, but I went with this one.

    Rain-X
    Rightline
    Keeper
    Thule
    Rola
    Highland
    Lund

Those are just a few I remember off the top of my head

The bags are soft so if you don't pack them to the brim, it'll be below your roof line.

But I do have to chuckle at the fact that you're worried about a little drag when you've added about 2500 pounds of steel and wires and stuff to your rig

Probably a dumb question, but will a 265/75/16 tire fit in the stock spare location?

Thinking I really need to get a spare the same size as my Treadwright's before I road trip out to the west coast next month.

I had my rola above my topper. I never put anything in it. Plus it was sitting on top of the thule bars. I decided to ditch it.

I've got a 265/75/16 in the stock spare location. It's very tight, but it works. Any bigger definetly would not work.

The roof lights have without a doubt change the way the truck drives on the hwy more then anything else. First time driving with them was down to Moab. Was brutal.

    The 2500lbs of..stuff...makes braking......interesting..haha

Changed the oil in my truck myself, first time ever for me :). Also installed a Fumoto oil drain valve, which I hope will make things easier next time.

Finished installing my Marlin Crawler clutch this weekend. Also ditched the stock squeaky clutch spring with one I had laying around. So much smoother and no more squeak....
