PROPELLER SHAFT BOLTS

    At 30k miles, I am supposed to check the torque on the propeller shaft bolts. Is this the two bolts holding the carrier bearing to the frame? Thank you for your help.

    O.K. Thanks. I learned the torque is 73 ft-lbs for the propeller shaft bolts, do you know what the torque is for the carrier bearing bracket bolts as they are now at 73 ft-lbs.

    I'm showing 65 ft-lbs for the propeller bolts and 27 ft-lbs for the carrier bracket. There's a maintenance guide posted somewhere on this site, that's how I got this info.

    Just get it all tight. I don't think I've actually checked the torque on those bolts ever. German torque wrench.

    Just make sure there tight. Don't have to get crazy with specs
