Hey man, how is your alignment with the 5100s at .85 and eibachs? do you need new UCAs?

 

It's perfect. It rides like butter. I'm still running stock UCA's.

Need some ideas on what I should do next. BHLM will be coming soon. Since it's a prerunner and won't ever see rocks or tough terrain, there is no need for aftermarket bumpers and I don't want to blow 700+ for looks.

 

You could run a aftermarket bumper for the winch. Good self recovery tool since your not 4x4. That is my plan.

 

Or get the undercover winch mount, save a bunch of cash and weight.

Yeah but I have heard some mixed review on them. Depends on what brand you get and how they mount them. Sometimes you spend a pretty penny just for those too.

 

I was looking into a brush guard these past couple days. may try to find a way to mount a winch on it.

 

I like the black badges. How'd u do it

 

Taped off around the badges with painters tape and newspaper. Then sprayed a light coat of plasti-dip. Then 2 more normal coats. Let dry 30 minutes after 1st coat. Then 10 minutes in between the next two coats. After fully dry, peel off excess plasti-dip with tooth pic. If any gets on the paint of the car, use goof off to remove. If you don't have any, scrub hard with a wet washcloth.

 

Thanks for the run down on the badges. This is my build and I want to black out all the chrome.
Would the same thing work on the toolbox and rear bumper

 

Great looking truck. I would plasti-dip the rear bumper as well. But for the toolbox, I would hit it with a coat of rustoleum primer and then rustoleum bed-line it. My brother did this for his toolbox and it looks sweet. The wear and tear that a toolbox receives might be a little to much for plati-dip to handle.

Nice! Where did you we your color matched rear bumper? Just a idea, instead of stock fog lights use rigid industries duallys in the factory hole. That is what I am thinking about doing of don't get my bumper.

 

Well, I have some bad news lol. I shattered my camera on my phone so all the money that was going towards the bumper now went to the replaced iPhone. Garrett said he would hold onto it for me though. Should have it in the next couple months.

 

Dang that sucks man! I feel ya on the money situation, be a min before I have my bumper.
