    That hinge Monte posted is a little different than mine but will work just about the same. Using a spindle with bearings is really nice (that's what I have on my Cruiser) but the bearings need to be serviced occasionally. The one I'm using now is so incredibly simple there is nothing to go wrong or need servicing. Also the double shear is much better that the single shear of a spindle type hinge. If you go with a spindle, go with a BIG one and make sure it's rated much heavier than you think you need. I've seen too many smaller spindles on tire carriers break off.

    Yeah it is more important. I would be happy a hell to have a better approach angle.

    Sorry to break it to you that front bumper was already destroyed. Had to bolt it back tort her after the pinch weld broke.

    Ability/style have nothing to do with wheeling... It is like a shotgun.... Point and shoot lol :p

    Also have decided that I really detest wheeling on granite type rocks. They are smooth and slick and you have no traction. I have issues leaning but on this shit I just keep making the hole in my seat bigger.

    Lean, move forward, slip, pull seat from ass, move some more, slip more in wrong direction, pull whole seat from ass!!!

    Haha well you can have te Silas approach or the konsta approach. Different ends of the spectrum.

    Ya mine is a bearing type. It's still glides so easy tho I haven't need to service it. Granted..only a year and a bit old..haha

    But totally agree. Found that out the hard way. Go big! Really big!

    I really like the my alcans too. I like the way they flex and the way they ride, empty as well as with an extra 500 lbs.

    The foxes are actually 8.5" of travel

    Dang, now you guys have got me thinking about getting the alcan 8-leaf packs.... I wanted the expos, but have 8 leafs does sound better for heavy loads while still getting good flex...
