    Love this guy's videos.

Without Googling... does anyone here know how guns fire underwater where no oxygen is present?

Actually, it's because gun powder has it's own oxidizer in it.

anyone got any ideas on a workmans compensation lawyer? Had a seizure, they let me work light duty, claim got denied but they cleared me to drive .... 2 weeks ago had another seizure .... no EEG scan was EVER performed. They are denying this claim too and now they wont let me go to work at all and corporate says i gotta pay for my own goddamn doctor or straight up quit which sounds like bullshit to me.

edit --- no history of seizures, never had any before ... and both of em happened at work and both at 5 in the afternoon

Yep. A major component of black powder is potassium nitrate (saltpeter, KNO3) and the nitrate group contains oxygen. Best I can do without going to webz or books.

Not really sure I understand... you claim to have seizures, have no medical opinion to back this up and want something from your employer and they're denying that? What am I missed here? Workman's comp is for injuries suffered due to your working not all medical conditions that occur while you're working, especially undiagnosed conditions.

Day 5 since breaking the juice fast check-in:

    Starting Weight: 290.8
    Current Weight: 270.6
    Previous Weight: 270.6
    Lost since yesterday: 0.0
    Total Weight lost: 20.2
    Most Weight lost: 23.4
    Lowest Weight: 267.4
    Gained since fast: 3.2

Thought I would post an update as to how things have gone since I ended the fast. In the 5 days since I've ended the fast I've gained 3.2lbs which I feel is good weight (muscle lost through atrophy) because even though I've gained 3.2lbs my belt has gotten a little bit looser. I've been walking and doing more active things here and there and have been watching what I eat. The last part is actually quite a bit easier than I thought it would be. My stomach has shrunk so it makes it easier to control portions and since about week 2 of the juice fast I haven't had any of the cravings that I once had. I've been eating better food, no breads/grains or dairy, no pop and have avoided most of the sugar that I once ate. I used to drink sweet tea and that even sounds too sweet right to me right now. Last night I had dinner at BJ's in Fort Collins with the in-laws & finally had the steak I had been craving and a side of steamed veggies. I only ate half of everything and was stuffed making it easy to box the rest up. There's no doubt that before the fast I would have eaten my meal (probably something fried) with less healthy sides, pop, some of the other's food that they didn't eat and probably a bunch of bread. As it was this was what I consider a large meal compared to what I've been eating since the fast and it was still less than 1/4 the calories I would have normally eaten at this meal plus healthier food. I haven't drank much juice since the fast but I think that's just because I had done nothing but juice for nearly 3 weeks and my body was craving real food. I'm sure I'll start mixing it back in shortly and plan to juice up some veggies today in fact. In all, I've lost over 20lbs even after recovering some muscle since the fast and I feel that this juice fast was a great decision. I plan to keep eating well and exercising and hoping that I'll start to make progress once again on weight loss since 270lbs is still a long ways from what I consider healthy. The fast was the kick-start I was looking for.

Le sigh. Yes and no. Of course it's the O in H2O but since it's bonded to two hydrogen molecules it has completely different properties than oxygen by itself and as such is not flammable and can't act as an oxidizer in it's current state. I didn't know I was going to have to get technical here but it's pretty clear I am. In short: water isn't flammable. Not sure if you knew that. ;)
