there was a thread on here awhile ago about coffee makers in the outlet...basically said coffee makers draw too much power to brew from the bed outlet. So, I basically ignored the thought of getting one for camping

I can't stand the instant coffee crap we usually go with while camping.

The 2013 Fiat 500L comes with a built-in Lavazza coffee maker. It sits in the center-console area and comes with cups that hook up to the dispenser.

Ignore the smart acres, MGM. If they are that smartthey would know by the title what the thread is about and skipped it.

I do a fair amount of camping and personnally I find it useful to know others have tried the smaller coffee makers and it worked with the bed outlet.

I wonder if the outlet has enough juice to power a Keurig? :D

Upon startup the Keurig B60 draws 1290 watts/10.75 amps for about a minute. While brewing a cup it varies from a low of 420 watts to a high of 1290 watts as it takes water from the external reservoir and heats it or holds it for the next cup. Between cups it draws 17 watts at noted before.

My parents have a Nespresso machine on their boat, they learned the hard way that those type of coffee machines are very sensitive to Syn Waves. So, to make them work, you need an inverter that has the power as well as designed to manage syn wave. This applies to the Nespresso, Keurig, Starbucks, or any of those espresso/coffee machines.

    Those models are NOT cheap!!!

I think this thread is awesome!

I encourage everyone with a 2nd Gen and a coffee maker at home to go out and test THAT make and model of coffee maker. Then report back in this thread.

Remember, in the evenings, it is encourage to add a little whiskey to your coffee.

    Remember, pics are also encourage!

Edit: I just had espresso in a chocolate shell candy pieces, so I will be watching for a while!
