    Hey Guys/Girls,

Need some advice. I have an 09 trd OR with 35K miles. I changed out the diff/transfer case fluids around 25K. Ill be towing 6K lbs through the ALCAN to TN (4500 miles roughly) at the end of Nov. Would you do a tranny flush prior and afterwards or would you just do a flush afterwards? My truck has never had new tranny fluilds put in. I dont have much experience with trannys but I know that after a long trip with a heavy load its suggested to flush afterwards. Thanks for the advice.

P.S any tips would be greatly appreciated, I.E if I should buy snow chains, what kind of gear to bring with, or how much fuel to carry. Im driving in Nov-Dec time frame with a dual 2500 axel cargo trailer.

Just thinking... you might want to do a "drain and fill" prior to your trip.... I think that would be good insurance... at least a little bit, eh?...

Your fluid is still pretty good, but most Tacos come under filled from the factory.... a LONG haul...??.. fill 'er up man....

    my 2 cents...

I wouldn't worry about it until you get close to 60k miles.

I'd wait closer till 60k miles, that is the new mileage recommendation from Toyota. Otherwise you'd just be throwing your money away being at or near 14k miles.

If it is a V6 it won't have a dipstick at all iirc.
