Definitely looking for a pump action. I'll look into that one.

Cool thanks. I've only ever shot an over under 12 which was sweet. Nothing beats the sound of racking a pump action though:D

    I have/had several 12ga pump actions

    Benelli Nova Pump
    Mossberg 500
    Mossberg 590A1
High Standard something or other from the 60s

My favorite is EASILY the Benelli, then the High Standard, then the 590, then the 500

The benelli is very smooth and comfortable to shoot, the High Standard is also VERY smooth and broken in...the 590 is nice, and is a SBS and awesome but not as refined or smooth as the others and then the 500 had a pistol grip/adj stock and i hated the safety location and it just didnt do anything for me

Nova pump aint exorbitant at $400-$500 new depending on if its camo or not...plus it has screw in chokes

I got mine as a gift so that helped too...i think I paid $200 for the High Standard, the 590 is issued and I paid $350 for the 500 new...sold it a couple years later for $300

Yeah I forget the model I wanted but it was pricey.

The guy got it from his dad and thought it was an 870 express when I showed up I explained he had a much higher end gun. He said for me being honest the $250 still was good with him.

Yeah but glass bottles and a 21 hour road trip to Colorado don't mesh well.
