Better options than Kimber at the price they go for. I own 3 and they are great, but they're what they are and aren't what they aren't.

i paid way less than $1000 for a used older Kimber from back in their heyday of top of the line 1911s a couple years ago

I got a buddy who just picked up a PRISTINE Colt for well less than $1000 a couple months ago

deals are out there and you can find nice guns for sale all day long if you make nice with local shops who do consignment/used sales

They have too many issues and they are well known a cop I know bought the m&p gay I know but it jammed 3 times out of 100 rounds. If I have a gun that jams I'm not gonna carry it

Also, never base your decision on good or bad on a particular brand/line based on one person's experience with a firearm

and NEVER buy a gun at the gun show

OHH talking some shit about the glock! Glock makes a good centerfire, They have a cheap feel to them but they definitely get the job done from what ive heard from my buddy, Hes got a 40 and its a little heavy but it feels cheap yet solid.

Really? Whats the problem with gun shows? Just the fact that you dont know how many rounds have been through them and who your buying from?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Unless from a gun shop... bought my first one in KS from a dealer at a show. Xdm 45. Kind of miss it, but I enjoy shooting my 9mm better anyway.

glocks are awesome, except the grip angle and the grip, those are the only reasons why i'm picking a used 226 or new M&P as my first handgun.

nah gun shows are where both people and businesses go to mark up prices and then "make a deal" where you feel like you got a good price but in reality you end up paying close to retail

If you're buying used, meet the person at a local range to test fire...buying new, shop around until you find the deal you want...
