I understand that. But I'm not looking for a lot of travel. I'm not rockclimbing or off roading. Just want a softer ride for road travel i.e. potholes bumps.

Sorry wasn't referring to u..... I meant the setup ur running now after someone said it was better than stock. I swear its worse than stock depending on how hard u have them cranked.

    That's why I quoted him

IMO they're really stiff. If you hit the wrong bump you'll lose a filling or two. Thinking of trying to sell them or retool them. If ride quality is my main concern what do you think, OME?

As far as cranking them, which adjustment will give a softer ride while achieving lift:
1.) not adjusting threaded perch but elevating c clip.

    Or

2.) leaving c clip at bottom and lifting via the threaded perch.

    I guess I haven't.

Preload is preload, no matter where it comes from. If your budget is in the $500 range, get some OME's, if you are in the 1000-1500 range, get some Icons.

I'll probably get some OME and 885 Coils. But I'll have to paint the shocks. That yellow is hideous.
