Found this neato 2.7 liter engine badge on ebay for 11 bucks including shipping... :)

It's heavy solid metal with a peel off adhesive back, and fits nicely with the other badges.

I think it's really cool, too. :) The curvature so nicely matches the letters of the other badges, it looks like the factory installed it.

I've always owned vehicles with small economical engines and am actually proud to drive the little 2.7. It's a rugged efficient engine that provides cheap reliable transportation.

    Ruh Roh Shaggy!

Last time this topic came up, it got really ugly really fast with some asshole claiming that our engines didn't deserve to exist.
    Thread got locked!

Wow... really? That must have happened before I was here. No one else will notice this except the 4 cylinder guys. I don't think that anyone else ever clicks on the 4 cylinder forum except the guys who have one. ;)

Ya, it was last year some time.

Someone found the same badge on eBay and shit rolled downhill quickly.

    Ummm,

Your 2013 Taco has one, so you did....

    Joking of course,
Funny thing is the badge is kind of cool, I am sure a non Toyota person
would loko at it and think is was factory, lol...

Even I think the 5.0 badges on the new Mustangs are factory, I thought maybe they were I honestly don't know. I remember guys putting 5.0 badges on a 4.6L Mustang, all I could do was smirk a little and think, "They have no clue"

Oh yeah....I do have the 2.7. Who knew?

    JK...;)

Actually, I love the 2.7. It's perfect for my base, 2wd, 5-speed. I wouldn't have it any other way. Besides, Toyota wouldn't let me have it any other way. :D

I just ordered one of the badges for myself. I like the fact that you can get the inlay in different colors like red and blue. I almost pulled the trigger on a blue one. But in the end...went with the black, as all the handles, trim, bumpers, mirrors, etc. are all black on my base anyway.

I had $4 in "ebay bucks"...so it only cost me $7 shipped.

Actually with the blue inlay and lots of new Hybrid Toyota cars having that blue inlay behind the front logo you could pass your Tacoma off as a "Hybrid 2.7" I bet,

send some person to the dealer looking for a hybrid Taco,

    ROFL!!!

Mine's blue. It just showed up as black in the photos. You can always spray any color paint on it and then wipe off the surface with a solvent moistened paper towel.
