That Moto E815 is a great phone, but it definitely needs to be updated.

First of all, what features are most important to you? What features would you like to get into?

List all of those and I am sure I can help.

Definitely do NOT go with the Dare... It's touch screen is unresponsive and you have to really work at it to get anything done. I speak from experience. ;)

The Storm is pretty cool, but it's hard to text on it. My brother had it but couldn't text at all, and if that's what you want to do, I'd really get something else. ;)

The LG Versa is a cool phone also. The keyboard seems it would be flimsy, but that's just me. You might like it though! :)

If I was in your situation, I'd get the LG EnV Touch. You have a full keyboard but still have a sweet touch screen to boot! But what it really comes down to is what you need in a phone and what suits you taste. ;) Good luck!

    Oops.

The phone I had was the AT&T version of the Dare, which may be different. I just had some bad luck with that phone, or didn't give it enough time.

    Sorry about that Will.

You are going to want to get the ENV Touch, since it has a 3 MP camera, physical keyboard, full browser support, and MP3 capability with 3.5 mm jack. This is if you did not want to pay $30/month for data. If you do not mind, you might want to wait for the RIM Blackberry Tour. The Tour is basically the CDMA version of the new curve 8900 on AT&T. It will run Blackberry's new OS, most likely have A-GPS, and possibility of WiFi. Since you cannot wait long, RIM is remaking the Storm (deleting click-screen) which will probably launch around November.

Are you referring to the LG Incite?

I've had the Versa since April really like it better then the Voyager I had before. The keyboard is nice I've dropped it once the battery and everything came apart but it still works fine. I read they are going to come out with a WIFi attachment where the keyboard plugs in so you don't have to pay to connect to verizons network for internet.

    Blackberry's are cool....

It sucks that you have to pay for a data plan with the blackberry's.

I like the phone but don't need the data plan....why can't I just buy the phone out-right without having the plan?

"Because that's where we make our money" (verizon guy)

This is true. A month ago, I was able to activate customer's phones without adding the data plan, now it forces me to no matter what. At least on the iPhone, there is a way around it.

Bud i dont know if you've choosen one yet.... but I have the enV touch. It is an awesome phone touch screen is very resposive and I have big fingers and I can still hit the little keys fine. Internet access is fine as long as you have good service, and texting to me is great im used to the keyboard but you can also use the touch screen as the normal key pad or turn it sideways and use it as the keyboard on the inside.... and I'm very impressed with the camera I had the voyager before I upgraded to this and going from a 2.0 mp to a 3.2 mp I can tell the difference especially when I put them on the comp. Those are just my 2 cents on the phones everyone likes their own I have friends that love the dare wouldnt trade it for the world and some that hate it. Just like the others some love it some hate it..

Haven't tried any of the other phones, but I've got the Blackberry Storm and like it. It's also my first "Smart" phone.

I have no problems texting now that I'm used to it. I've never been a fan of that txt that tries to guess the word you're typing for you, so I do letter-at-a-time. I think the txting screen is under the assumption that you're always typing with both hands, because I've noticed the screen is actually a bit sensitive to each side. My one friend is jealous that I can actually type a good number of txts ahead of time before sending them out.

Internet's good and fast. Big touch screen makes it quite a bit easier to surf the internet should you decide to get the data plan. As for the camera... all of the pictures you'll see here of my truck were actually taken with the phone, and shrunk down in Photoshop. It's got a really bright built-in flash as well. I prefer it over my 5MP digital camera, actually. PM me if you'd like to see an original-quality.

Other nice features: being able to read basic Word and Excel files are nice. The PDF reader is iffy, but you can buy a better one. Used the Excel and internet in negotiating with the dealerships.

Only one problem with it. Ever since the most recent O/S update (3rd version), the battery life is less then half of what it used to be. I can't make it through the workday without having to swap them out. I just bought a bunch of OEM batteries on Ebay (spent $13 for two more) and I can live with it.

    Blackberry FTW!!

I had a pearl for a year, then got a 8310 curve, best phone ever. Now waiting for the blackberry onyx, a newer bold (which is hands down the best phone on the market). I tried iphone, didn't like the touchscreen thing, as well as many other problems with the iphone, no copy & paste, no voice commands, can only use one program at a time, ect.

Also, you don't need to have a data plan with a blackberry on ATT, don't know about verizon though. I know a few people who just use them as regular phones without data, they still have alot to offer without the data plan. But, I do love streaming pandora in my truck on long trips. :D

Yeah, from what I've learned... you have to pay for a data plan with Verizon.
Although - we've always had good luck with our BJ's membership & Verizon. They've always given us good deals. I wonder if we could squeek a blackberry in without it.... We'll see.

I don't text much or at all, but when I do...I hate that predictive text crap. I think I really want a full keyboard next time.

Question....this might be stupid... but I'd be more willing to use my phone for checklists & shit. Do any of the phones (Verizon) act like a PDA where you can put Excel files & stuff on them? Or no?

I got the blackberry storm. Its cool, but its constant lagging will piss you off. I recommend the HTC. my friend has it and loves it.

The Storm (at least mine) does come with a basic Excel reader/editor. Of course editing the cells is a pain in the @$$. I actually downloaded a free program called Smartshopper that I use for shopping lists.

The iPhone does have copy and paste, voice commands (Not just voice dialing), and has a lot more to offer (especially the App Store).

I have tried and it is impossible. I will remove the feature and it will automatically add it back on in a second.

All Blackberries will support Excel files and have notes, as well as WinMo.

What pissed me off was a crappy phone from RIM. The only phone worth getting at the moment is still the Curve. The next phone would be the RIM Blackberry Tour.
