Nice idea...wait does that mean we are doing in cab switches or you just gonna try wireless?

I am going to start shopping my idea for the roof line and LED light bars with an FJ angled bar. Need to find one so I can do some comparisons.

LED setup sounds badass Bob , I am liking the idea of the Sierra Exp. Roof mount with a 50" and a couple dually's for fogs... Guess I need to go try and get the money tree to blossom :)

Baja Designs has great products for sure. I am loving that they are getting deep into LED now. I plan to run their if I can figure out the roof thing. Those 8" lights on my bumper are BD.

moved my winch control box behind the grill to open up the front more now that i have a nice looking grill... i have a warn wireless control coming this week and i'm hoping the wireless plug will fit in there behind the grill. will cover the power wire with some loom next weekend so it doesn't stand out so much behind the grill.

much cleaner look...just need some LED bars to finish it up

You should get some flat black as well and paint the subframe and items behind the grill.

Hey this is probably going to be a silly question, but since I put my OME lift on and bigger tires my MPG has dropped obviously. But I was wondering with the snorkel if it helped gain back some ground on that a little? I've heard that with them the airway is more open so the engine can breathe better. Also do you think exhaust would help with that too? Just trying to keep my head open to some ideas.

snorkel definitely helps gain the mpg back. really any cold air intake system will help you gain back some mpg

before the snorkel i had the volant system with their air ram. within a week i went from that system, back to stock then to the snorkel.

i saw a 1-2 mpg drop going back to stock, then gained them right back with the snorkel.

mods seems to be a constant battle back and forth with mpg.

    tires & lift = decrease

air intake (CAI or snorkel) = increase

exhaust can help as well. just a new muffler, most likely not. but if you are really looking into improving your exhaust, save up for new headers and a good cat-back system. that will help the flow tremendously.

with the intake, MAF calibrator, headers and full exhaust work, i'm able to see numbers still in the 15 -18 mpg range for normal driving. i get close to 20 mpg on road trips (depends on the head wind).

Bob what brand is your MAF calibrator? Learned some interesting facts about our ECU and now I am curious how your calibrator functions. Gonna look it up.

when you order, you note the mods you have and they'll set up a map for you. you can also tune it later through your computer if you were to change your engine setup.

even with a stock setup, gadget has a map that will help out.

"The unit for normally aspirated engines can be used for:
    • Optimizing the fuel mixture for best power on stock or modified engines
    • Correcting MAF Sensor error caused by aftermarket intake systems
    • Remapping the fuel curve to compensate for high flow headers, exhaust systems, and cams"
