    Yep, this job has one high volume wall. It's 10' long, has two triple-ply lvl king posts for a 36" wide window, and two double-ply lvls 'placed 16" o/c'.....it's a high volume wall but the engineer specs for 16" layout :facepalm:

    Our HV walls are spec'd for 12" oc double stud with solid blocking every 3'11" All our exterior walls are 16" oc. Only trusses are usually 24" oc

    Never had to frame exterior walls at 24" OC ? They suck .

    My rakes are usually engineered assemblies , last house we were able to build them as shear wall panels with blocked panel edges and KD DFir 2x6 studs @ 16" OC , 1/2" ply

    They were mostly 33' long , 7' high at the short end and 18' tall at the top , we built them on top of each other on the deck and craned them into place , the meter on the crane put them at about 2700-3000 lbs each

    I really don't like 24" OC walls because of the billowing in the batt insulation and the drywall is always haywire , it does cut down on thermal bridging however

    There was 6 walls that size and 4 that were 24' long , we framed them all on the deck over about 10 days and lifted and braced them in 6 hours , haha
