Tacoma Wave?

You see, many years ago, I test drove a Jeep TJ at a dealership. The sales guy told me that it was an unwritten rule of conduct, that all TJ owners waved or showed some form of communication (like the guy nod) to other passing TJ owners. Sure enough when I was out on the road for the test drive, other TJ owners were waving or nodding at me. Is there such a thing as a Tacoma wave? And if so do you do it?

 

i started waving/"guy nodding" 2nd gen taco drivers in my area. and the ones that i've passed a few times seem to be catching on. it's kinda fun...i've found that it works better (they are more lakily to responde) if it's the same color or cab as yours.

 

i waved at em like you do when you see somebody in your neighbor hood but every1 looked at me like im dumb so i quit

 

Lol, yeah, the same happened to me. You'd think I was a lunatic when you see the look on their faces.

 

haha, i've noticed full on waves get you weird looks, but if its a wave like what 2 motorcyclists do passing each other, it works

 

lol i try and do a head nod or the two finger wave from the top of my steering wheel but often no one even sees it...

 

Yeah...The wave off the top of the steering wheel tends to work pretty good.

 

Yeah, and it makes me feel cool.

 

Well they obviously don't feel the same way about tacoma's as we do. If you're anything like me, you will notice them from a mile away. I don't care when I get mine, I am going to wave to everybody in a Taco. In fact I might start waving to people from my piece of junk civic.

 

i do it occasionally, but sometimes people just look at me weird like, "why the hell is that guy waving at me?"

true, but id like to think I help advertise each time A tacoma gets behind me at a stoplight. those window stickers are AWESOME!!

 

i tried but nobody waved back ...so i stoped

I did that a couple times but stopped because they are too f**kin jealous of the black beauty shakin up their game

 

No. Too many douche nuggets drive Tacomas and I don't want them thinking I'm their "Brah".

 

I do. I make sure I wave to any Tacomas with lifts, mods, etc. But it seems that half the Tacomas being driven around are by 40 something year old women. They see me wave and look at me like I have a d%*K growing out of my forehead. LOL

 

who can we contact if we want a TW sticker?
