How can i get more travel out of my front suspension? Long travel really isn't an option right now but i'm not looking for that much more either. Can i do anything like new UCA's to get a couple more inches or is long travel really my only option?

Currently i believe my suspension is all stock, front wheel wells were trimmed to fit 31's but they stick out a lot so i'm not totally sure.

Didn't want to start a new thread or anything on this but any advice would be appreciated.

Do the front tires stick out noticeably more than the rears? If so I'd guess you might have lift spindles or wheel spacers in the front.

There's a few coil lifts that would net you a little more travel over stock for your truck. Fabtech's got discontinued (you might be able to find someone that still has a kit in stock, I got one site's last set of the spindles) but I think Doetsch Tech still makes one

Well i fell kinda dumb i do already have lift spindles, it really shouldn't have taken me that long to figure out. Can i do uca's and new coils to get more travel or am i at the point where LT is really the only way to go?

No you can get longer coils for more travel, although for what you're looking for I'd get UCAs and coilovers instead of new springs. Spindles, coils, rear shackles and an AAL should get you about a 6" lift overall.

I was gonna get the second stage of the spindle/coil combo but now I've decided I'll just go LT after my frame inevitably fails and gets replaced

I got a offer from family I can't refuse, they gave me a budget, and I can buy whatever vehicle I want as long as its within that budget, and I can add my own money to the budget if I want a newer or lower miles car.

    So I'm either getting a 05-08 taco, 00-07 tundra, a 99(?)-06 (?) chevy 1500 or a 04-08 f-150
All 4 door, 4x4 and short bed.

OK that makes sense currently i have sketchy shackles and an AAL but its nearly time for a new leaf pack and shackles.

Could i do something like the doetsch UCA's and coilovers?

fabtech 3" spindles, icon aal, 10" bilstein 7100 rear shocks, daystar coil spacers, AFE Pro Dry-s drop in filter, sony head unit, 2 12" pioneer subs, pioneer 6.5s all around, custom 1.25 lift shackles, custom lower ball joint brackets fabbed by me
why do you want more travel? the stock suspension can only handle so much before it fucks up. bumped from the factory youll get ball joint bind if your not careful when messing with it. its almost maxed out as is. not to mention increased bumpsteer which will affect the handling. the only thing you can gain is droop. but even then it will be limited by the uca hitting the coil regardless of the kit you get. ask me how I know :anonymous:

i just want to be able go push it harder when i'm out in four peaks or northern AZ exploring, just want it to absorb the big bumps better and washboard. Even though its 2wd i like making my truck more capable i've surprised people with the places ive gotten it except sand that stuff has gotten me stuck a couple times. A locker would help a ton there but its my DD and i dont really want to put an auto locker in it.

Also i just like projects :D messing with stuff is fun

Get an ARB Air locker... that's what I did.. It's amazing

depends on what kind of set-up you want... Mid travel... or go with a TRD suspension (people sell them here all the time, used, for cheap).. My Icon with TC UCA MT Kit was about two grand

Haven't really looked into it, but I thought we could only use the rears off of a TRD?
