    nice work on the airflow..welcome to the club :cheers:

    i'm a fan of my ultragauge...great display and allows calibration for the tire/gear differences. i never use look at my speedo anymore, my eyes always look for my UG.

    35's should put you right at 10% off, so it's easy to calc in your head...

    40 = 44
    50 = 55
    60 = 66
    70 = 77....

    Basically, I drive so my speedo is going the speed limit, as I've found the cops won't bother you going 10% over (results may vary).

    Thanks! I'm digging the snorkel.

    I actually misspoke earlier and realized I have a UG not an SG. I need to calibrate it.

    I have no issues with the speedo, I use the 10% rule too. I'm more concerned with honest MPG.

    Matt, where did you order your Airflow from? I'm having trouble finding it on their "Authorized Retailer" sites.

    EDIT - I finally found it on Expeditioneers' and Rocky Road Outfitter's sites at $460. Did you find it anywhere cheaper?

    yea you go into distance calibration and reduce the mileage until you get around there...then adjust to a gps to get more accurate.

    note: if you haven't reset your trip in over 10,000 miles, do not mess with the distance calibration....it'll fuck your settings up :eek:

    went to go check my number for you and unfortunately it was close to 20,000 miles since i last reset my trip and the calibration tops off at 9999.0 so when i hit enter to get out of the screen, it set my calibration to .554...no where near where i wanted :facepalm:

    so a good way to do it if you have time, get a gps out, reset trip on both the UG and GPS then drive....then you can calibrate to actual mileage and get an accurate setting.

    when i last calibrated mine i got on the highway, set the cruise and played with my calibration until the MPH was close to the GPS...i was within +/- 1mph until i just jacked my calibration up :(

    $460 is what I paid for it. Expeditioneers was out of them so I ordered through TRDParts out of Texas.

    Gotcha, thanks. I think I may actually get a snorkel, despite me always telling myself that I shouldn't want to cut a 4'' hole in a perfectly good fender. Might as well if I'm going to cut up the bedsides for a H/C anyway :rolleyes:

    How do you like it so far? Any performance/MPG changes? And the install looked fairly easy from your post but was anything out of the ordinary?

    The truck feels peppier with it. Not sure on MPG since I run through a tank yet.

    Install is totally straight forward. The only part that was a PITA was cutting out part of the fender pillar. It ws hard to get something back in there to cut the metal. I also used a hammer to make the intake hole into the engine just a little bit bigger since the tube didn't want to fit in there.

    Gotcha. Did it come with instructions besides the template? :eek: Are the only other members with the Airflow Spoon and Bob?

    Yes, it comes with a pretty detailed instruction pamphlet.

    Not sure on who else has one besides those two.

    I would just like to point out that in a couple years I will have a Barcelona Red version of your truck. The only thing I can think of that you don't have that I want is a roof rack.

    x2 on that lotto business. I buy tickets from time to time and for some reason I am always shocked when I don't win. haha
