From one newb to another... do a search. Trimming is the most common practice..

Trim or remove, at least on the front unless you never plan to go off road.

If you plan on removing them in the future to fit bigger tires or just for looks, remove them now before they damage the paint

I removed my front ones, replaced them with husky's, then sold the originals on ebay for over twice as much as I paid for the husky's.

thanks for the suggestions. my grand daughter wanted them to go sled riding on this winter. I usually can't say no to her but I stood firm and trimmed them. they look much better now and I think my granddaughter will forgive me. lol

I guess I am too late. I was going to suggest strapping them to your arms and trying to fly to the sun.

Why are so many people looking to purchase the original flaps?
Have they trimmed or discarded theirs and now regret it?????

I dunno, I think that they are just prone to damage and certain people like to have them on. I am clueless on their usefulness as I do very little public driving through snow.

now that im thinking about it though, it may be more courteous to other drivers to have them on when it rains on the highway. I don't have mine on, I wonder if im one of those vehicles everybody curses when it rains:rolleyes:
