Thanks Mike and Brandon. I'm not in need of a cab mount chop at the moment. Just wondering where I would get it done from when I finally get a lift, wheels, and tires. The combination I want seems like a CMC will be needed. I much rather pay an Oahu TW brother than any of the big shops here to do it. I'll keep you guys in mind. Mahalos

Nope. I had Al's ceramic tint on a bunch of my cars and it made a big difference, but I never did the windshield. I cant wait to see how much difference it will make on the Tacoma. My truck bakes in the sun all day while I'm at work :(

Not real sure on the prices, He is an old friend of mine.
He has two different films for the windshield, one is around $150, the other is over $200.

Yes, "technically" a shop would test your windshield to see if putting the clear would pass inspection or not, and the legal limits currently on law at the state level. If not, some may put it on, but not write you a warranty because it rates illegal if you ever got tested. Similar to putting darker than 35% on your fronts. I had a shop put the clear on our new car. Would not pass check if it ever got tested as the factory light pass through, plus the uv film were lower than the current acceptable state limits. I take the risk of it not passing when we go for our safety in 2 years.

I got that heat shield from Toyota parts dept.. about $35-$40 but works pretty dang good as I park my truck on the street in front of the house.

Al's is the best! I absolutely love my tint :)

I can only barley tell at night. Nothing major, just I have spent so much time building and testing headlights that I can see the difference.

My windshield was something like $220 installed, and about $140 per window for all 4 doors, and something like $180 for the rear.. That bill hurt, but I think it was worth it in the end :)

And you can't beat a lifetime warranty from 3M. Just take it to any dealer who carries it in the country (maybe the world) and they will fix it for free! Warrantied against fading, cracking, bubbles, peeling, and everything else you can think of.

Yeah, Al put the more expensive windshield and side window film on my truck, and gave me the warranty. I cant wait to see the difference.

Only thing I wasn't crazy about was how long it took for that wavyness to go away. But its just because the film is so thick.
