    how was this whole process for you? i'm looking at the weld kit as well so i can have more adjustability and keep my rtt as low as i can

    ^ x2. I got the bars I have now as a short term way to mount the tent. Eventually I want a more substantial rack that I can put more stuff on or under. Does anyone know how short you could make that AP weld together kit besides just calling them? It looks like you have about 6 inches of room to play with before the bend... I'd love my permanent solution to be about 10" above the bed rails.

    Such a bad ass rack, I really like how they tied into the bed bolts instead of resting on the bed rails. Sweet rig!

    you could even keep a soft top over that (would have to unbolt then bolt in under if you wanted to take the rtt off)... i know i like the softtop for winter time to keep snow off my gear

    I found All Pro's Weld together on Ebay pretty cheap with no lead time. They told me they could do the bolt together to. It was cheaper than their website as well.
