Tried to install some black corners I got off ebay and boy are they a POS. The bulb sockets didn't even fit in the lamp assembly, kept falling out.

Anyway... finally mounted the BAMF light bar getting ready to wire up my Blitzpro's in the next week or two.

For those ebay ones, get some thin rubber band an wrap one around each of the bulb sockets. Worked fine for my ebay clear corners, it made them fit tightly.

Good idea. But for some other reason the little peg thing on the bottom, backside of the assembly wouldn't snap in to keep it in place either. I guess I'll try give it another shot tomorrow.

Yeah, thats the trouble I had with them, so I dug through the 100 pack of rubber bands and wrapped one around the socket in front of the rubber gasket. That made those tabs hold tightly, Just don't have a rubber band too thick so that you bust them off trying to get it in there.

I have not had any water entry in my corner lights either.

just bought mine and drove er home...runs damned good...gotta love the 22RE...anyway, it has an engine light, i got it checked and it came up as catalyst efficiency, a MAP code, circuit high i think, and a intake air temp sensor code...there's a 4 prong plug that's just hanging out on the pass side fender, could that be the IAT sensor plug? where does it plug in? i looked all over the intake tube and couldn't find a place

Dude you're the freaking man!!

Was a little bummed I had no luck with fitment and such the first time but I went back out there and your rubberband idea worked! Also finished up a few adjustments on my light bar.

    +1 sir!

Sanded, cleaned, primed, and painted my sliders. Got tired of waiting to find a good place to paint them, so I just painted them out if the back of my truck. Came out okay.

Got any pics of the crossmember? I'm boxing my frame and building my crossmember tomorrow so I can put my 5125's on and finish my chevy 63 swap. I know how I want to build mine but I'm still looking at other designs too

This is what I got with all the junk I picked up today but ill probably cut some plate and weld it to the frame and box the frame around the crossmember..
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1374977041.248310.jpg
Doesn't show it all but there are two bends (one on either side) but there's nothing to it really.. Straight tube with shock tabs would be just fine..

Above the 5125 to the far right is the bend in it..

I got some 1.75" tubing that I'm going to put two bends in to get as much height as possible. How much travel are your 5125's? Mine are 12". I want to mount mine using the mounts like you have on the cross member rather than using tabs but we'll see...

They are 10".. Didn't even expect to be getting any rear stuff just front leafs and shocks, mounts etc.. But my crossmember is probably 1 1/4 maybe 1 1/2" tubing but if I built my own I'd use 1 3/4 as well since that's what I'm using for sliders, bumpers tube doors bedrack etc. the crossmember is from TG that I have as is everything.. Except to two random sets of leaf springs I have that I don't know what they're from but one set looks like 63's so I may get lucky haha

    haha thanks, glad to help.:)

If it ever gives you trouble though, I just realized I may have put it behind that rubber gasket and used it as a spacer. It should be fine though.

Well I got my 45" piece of 1.75" tubing and a 4'x2' piece of 1/8" for $20 so I can't complain or be picky. I found them both laying around a trailer repair shop in scrap piles! And I hope that one of those leafs are 63's! Flexy sob's.. I'm getting really nice droop even with the short ass stock shackles

I've run the KYBs before. They make a qaulity shock and will cost less than Bilstiens.

I did not run the one you have listed. I used and would recommend a monotube design like the 4600 and the 5100. The one you have there is the older style twin tube emulsion type of shock. The high pressure nitrogen charged monotube designs are better but a little more expensive.

Here is the KYB one that fits a 4x4 tacoma with no lift.

    http://www.amazon.com/KYB-565052-MonoMax-Heavy-Monotube/dp/B000C3ZDE8/ref=au_as_r?ie=UTF8&Make=Toyota|76&Model=Tacoma|1037&Year=2001|2001&carId=001&n=15684181&newCar=1&s=automotive&vehicleType=automotive

Its extended length is 20.5" and collapsed it is 13.6". The same part number can be used on both sides. Here is a KYB spec sheet, just find the correct part number.

Deffinatly not! Not bad at all! I got a 4x8 piece of 3/16 and a 6x8 sheet of 1/4, 16 sticks of 1 3/4 & 6 sticks of 2x2 square tubing lol so I have a good bit left but alot of shit to build with it! Used a stick of square and two sticks of round on a set of sliders and set of tube doors so not too bad
