    Hello Everyone,

I know this has been a long time coming however I finally got a weekend off and was able to install my ARB bumper, IPF and rock lights, Warn M8000 winch, Viking delrin rollers, and synthetic line. Overall I could not be happier! I added some pics to the TW Live thread and here are some more pictures of the install. This is a very shortened synopsis of the overall installation. Special thanks to my neighbor, Andy, for helping out through the entire process. Thanks bro I owe you a few frosties :)

    Unloaded the boxes of joy:

    Andy reading the instructions:
    2-AlwaysReadtheInstructions_e5e24bd8484dcb841b43053940cb163c8d78e9e7.jpg

First we un spooled the steel line for some Viking Off Road Synthetic line. (Much lighter, stronger, and safer :) )
    3-UnspoolingThesteelline_468395dc933811bc2cef3d91af50839ddd6a27c5.jpg

Steel line is off and new 3/8" Viking Synthetic Winch line is ready to go:

    Bolted on the new winch:

Removed the front bumper, the aluminum bar also came off:

    Installed the new brackets:

Relocating the winch solenoid: (note we used the factory bracket on the passenger side wheel well and some supplied hardware)
    8-WinchBoxRelocation_19eb06df1c45bf0fd26ff045921ba94a18913b52.jpg

Removing the supplied 2Gauge wires for 51" switch to starter wires.

Fitting the bumper was a real pain. It took a lot of time and measurement to get it just right.

Wires bolted on to the winch and covered:

    Spooled Up the new line:

Saturday night we finished by installing Viking Delrin rollers, a DayStar winch isolator, and the synthetic line:

    Time for the IPF lights:
    13-IPFLights_5a43de6077c4bf91afeff435a44fe81fa5ee76db.jpg

We bolted the light fuses and relay to the inner fender. Also note the ground wires:
    14-IPFWiring_8159b0dedce29277fa94b2ffcb361e23ce16b94a.jpg

Then we used the factory fog light wiring to bolt in some 55W H2O proof rock lights from Northern Tool: (Note, I had to cut the plastic wheel well out and used some existing bolts to keep it place, this is the driver's side)
    15-Driverssiderocklight_b3a645437446644b7caafdc25bd3e148fcfc916b.jpg

    Passenger side rock light:

The finished product: (note the rock lights are completely hidden and protected by the bumper, Andy's idea for placement)

Thanks. I still have a little more to do, namely a in-dash winch controller which I did not have time to install. :(

Hmmm I guess I could have used a hitch mount but that would require running a lot of 2 gauge wire and a serious lost departure angle. I thought mounting it to the ARB would be best since it is designed to utilize a winch. :)

    Very nice!
I still think that ARB has the nicest front bumper for our trucks.
    I'm considering buying one?:D

    Wow I Want!!!!

curious of your thoughts of the ARB over an allpro, besides the fact it is stronger....

I do like the look of the Allpro and that it incorporates fog lights opposed to the ARB. But the ARB does posses several key advantages such as being airbag compliant, having built in Hi-Lift jack points, and being one piece. A one piece design is can be a strength or a weakness depending on who you ask. Some argue that a modular design such as Allpro's will allow for easier repair should you damage the bumper. In theory one piece can be replaced without having to buy a whole new bumper thus costing the owner less money. Other's believe that the one piece units are also less prone to tweaking and flexing. I have read a lot on both styles and think each has pros and cons. I think you have to consider what you want in a bumper and go from there. :)

I installed a in-dash winch controller from 12-Volt guy. This dude does great work and provides great customer service. One or my buttons broke in transit and I sent him an email advising of the situation. Within just a few minutes I had an response stating that a replacement was on it's way no questions asked. I was very impressed with his customer service. Here is a pic of the dash:

I had two extra "dead buttons" on the dash that were not in use and this winch panel fit absolutely perfect. I simply popped out the dead buttons, inserted the new panel, and ran the wires. It was a rather simple job and the panel looks like it came from the factory!

And a link to the panel I bought:
