Take a look. Seat cover problem

Hmmm... Are the 2012+ fabric different from 2011 and older? They felt different to me when I looked at a 12. Also that wear looks like what someone mentioned already, sliding off the seat. Not only that it wears your seat fabric but the foam underneath. Girls usually have to slide off my seats as they aren't tall enough.

My seats started showing wear the first couple weeks I had my 2013 Tacoma. At 4000 miles the front seats looked like an electric sander was used on them. Ive gone back and forth with the dealership. Service managers and Techs agree there is a problem. I contacted Toyota. They had a district service manager look at the seats at 10,000 miles. He stated its normal wear. Unfortunatly he has final say. Ive looked at many used Tacomas with the same seats with as much 15 times the milage as my Tacoma that show none of the wear mine did at 3000 miles. My passenger seat has had a passenger no more than ten times and the fabric it trashed! I was told to get seat covers and deal with it or send in paper work for arbitration. This is my third new Toyota truck. They way Toyota is handling this is ridiculas.

 

Mine started showing wear at 5000 miles. Have a really good service writer at my dealership and he said that he would replace them for me under warranty

 

What year is your Tacoma? Have you had any other issues?

 

2012 with 22,540 miles. No issues.
