    Just picked up a new 2013 SR5 Double Cab. Love the truck.

    I found some brand new SR5 alloy wheels and tires locally but the TPMS sensors were gone already and installed into his new tires.

    Lots of TPMS sensors on Ebay but which ones?

    I believe it is either a PMV-107J or a PMV-108J.

    Does anyone know the difference? Is one of these the correct TPMS?

    Are you trying to switch wheels, or will you keep a second set and swap them?

    My original tires and wheels are fine and I will keep them on for summer use. I am planning on setting up the second set of wheels with snow tires for winter use. So basically, I need four TPMS sensors for the 2013 SR5 wheels.

    My SR5 came w/ the TRD OR wheels. They use the 20° TPMS or so I was told at the dealership. The steelies use 40° TPMS or so I was told at the dealership.

    If you use two sets of sensors, you will need to reprogram them each time you change from summer/winter and then back again. You could just use regular valve stems and live with the light during the winter use.

    IMO, not worth the expense of reprogramming twice a year.

    I have not heard of anyone being able to do the programming outside of a dealership. :( $$ better spent in other areas.

    One would think that these trucks could be designed to accept 2 sets of sensors with perhaps a switch to change the code or setting. Probably not cost effective for Toyota.

    My local tire shop has the equipment to program the sensors - new guy broke two of my sensors and the owner of the shop replaced them and programmed the new ones (no charge of course). Not every tire shop has the capability, but I would be willing to bet you can find one if you call around.

    Slowmachine Mike;

    The link to the other thread was really informative. Great Information.

    I am going to look into the ATEQ TPM Quickset Tool. I like to be able to change my own tires and not have to book an appointment at the dealer.

    I am hoping the Quickset tool will work for my wife's 09 Corolla as well.

    It would be nice if 10 different TPMS sensors could be programmed to the one vehicle.

    Toyota is likely trying to prevent the possibility of reading the TPMS from the other Tacoma siting next to you at the red light.
