Good lord haha. How much did the sheet of 3/16 and a full stick of 1.75 tubing cost? I want to build a bumper soon

    Update on this purchase:

Just used it for the first time for a two-day overnight wheeling/camping trip.

I really like this set up a lot (cargo bag on bed rack). The thing holds a shit ton of gear easily.

Here's the shitty part. The zippers are cheap. I could tell right off the bat. What I didn't know is the second time I'd zip up the bag the zipper broke. There are two zipper pulls so I was able to fully zip it shut with the other one but still.

I'm debating on returning it or bringing it to a local mountain mend guy who repairs/upgrades camping gear. Because I'll tell you the great part...

It rained yesterday for about 3 hours or so. Just an average rain, and everything stayed dry in it.

Today on the trail it rained on and off for about 4 hours. Everything stayed dry.

On the drive out of the mountains and to home, I drove through a monsoon... horizontal sheeting rain... probably in the 2 inches per hour rate...maybe more, and everything stayed dry.

Also on a side note, I have three Rubbermaid Action Packers and everything in those stayed completely dry too.

    Look at build!
1.75 I believe was around $30 a 20' stick and the plate was $150 and I got the 1/4" plate for $150 as well off Craigslist! Ill use it for my rear hybrid bumper

That looks like a good bag (except for the zippers). I've got a similar one but its probably not as water resistant. I may have to look at this one.

Cool. Been looking at these too. Did you get it from Cruiser Outfitters?

If not for the zippers I'd give this thing a 4.5 out of 5 rating.

Unless it tears, it will always provide complete waterproof protection.

I might just bring it to the local mountain mend guy to see if he can beef up the zippers. If so I won't return it and just spend a little more money and make it total bomber.

Helton's run through the engine cooling system. It's similar to a heat exchanger on an RV.

    Tires, for now
Haven't posted anthing in a while, I'll include everything I've done on it. First upgrade after buying the truck was some 31x10.5 Duratracs. I then painted my stock rims black. Decided to keep the black theme going, dipped the back bumber front bumber, grill surround, and pretty much anything else I could find that wasn't black. Then came billy 5100's all around, and a BDS aal. And then my exhaust valves went, and into the shop it went. 2500 bucks later, i have my truck back, and spent yesterday doing a full detail. Here's how it sits today.

I also ordered some window visors, and new headlights and corners, black of course. Next I want to get a light bar up front, and hopefully a winch soon. Can anybody help me out with some other useful upgrades I should do soon, looking to improve off road reliability.

Here it is when I bought it

Still have the canopy, but it usually only goes on in the winter, unless I'm camping.

Removed the spare tire carrier, boxed some of my rear frame, fabbed a crossmember/upper shock mounts with 2 mounting options, and got my 5125's on. I'm super impressed with the ride of the overall lift now that I've got it completed!

Had to ditch the middle mounting hole to clear the shock body
    [IMG]

Tacked in. Also for the lower mount I cut a spring perch in half, drilled a hole and tacked a bolt in it. I don't like how far it sticks down below the axle but we were running out of time and it will work for now.
