Thanks for the pics man. That trail looks like fun. I'm curious about the direction you ran Poughkeepsie. Was that from South to North?

From all the pics and videos I've seen, Christina and Shoshone trails on leg 2 will not be above the treeline. Not as sure about all of leg one.

Nearer to Morrison is not but on the other side of the beartooth highway where Goose Lake is might all be above the treeline. Most of that part of leg 1 is at or above 11,000 feet.

no problem, it actually wasn't as hard as I thought. going up it all would add a level of difficulty I imagine but their is multiple paths on most obstacles from hard to extreme. so you can pick the one you want. the wall is obcourse the hardest obstacle and it is mandatory their is no other way around it. but if you pick the right path it is not that bad, and their is winch points all over it. this is one of my favorite trails yet! one of the cool things about this trail is their is a lot of spots to stop and watch the rock crawlers take the extreme lines up obstacle. or atvers roll their rigs ha ha

I ran it from the south since I was coming from lake city on California pass. I would have had to go way out of the way to run it right ways up (north to south) their would have been no spots that would have been very difficult running it the right way except the wall. I wanted to turn around and run the wall going up but their were a lot of people waiting to go up so I didn't, and it started raining which would make the wall very very hard.

box rocket, was the red Toyota truck that rolled taking the normal line or trying something harder up the wall?

In some of those pics you can see the dirt road up the hill to the left of where he rolled. Most of us all took that dirt road but I think that route is now closed because of erosion. The 4Runner that rolled was taking a fairly normal line up the rocks. What kind of a fluke. It was wet and his tires just hit the wrong spot and the front end walked sideways and off the wall and over he went.

This is where most of us went up that day (which still wasn't easy as there was a big rock on the inside of that corner that flexed you hard and you lost all momentum in the corner. Didn't help that it was wet and muddy. Took almost all of us at least a couple tries.
