I posted a few weeks back regarding a lot of noise coming from the back end, to see if any one else is experiencing this. Well after reading all of the threads it is apparent this is very common with this truck.
So after a weekend of camping and tooling around I thought I would throw this out there. This is more than a little noise coming from the leaf springs. It seems to me that this is about everything with the rear suspension. My 08 with 12,000 mioles on it sounds worse than my 2000 did with 100,000 mi. My whole back end makes god awfull sound when I just get out of the truck. Now don't get me wrong, I love my taco, but I am less than thrilled about the rattles and other noises that are allready occuring. If they are this bad nowI wonder what I can expect down the road? Toyota has allways been a little weak on the suspension end of these trucks and I think it is high time they find a fix for this problem. I know you can continually wash the crap out of the rear end and spray your KY jelly on there but it will continue to occur. I have as much noise coming of the shocks as any where else I believe. I am a loyal Toyota customer who has owned 3 trucks and 3 cars over the years but am a little disgruntled over what I see as a trend on quality. What do other members think? Toyota Motors needs to hear from it,s customer base about their products!

I had the same problem in my '06. It made an awful squeaking noise. Toyota covered it under bumper to bumper warranty and replaced the rear leaf springs which remedied the problem. They replaced the springs again and shocks a few months later when I had the suspension TSB done too.
