nah the cops can still do em, a guy i know is denver pd and within the last month bought a trailer, asked me what the vins costed at our place and i never saw him bring it over and saw it with colorado plates about a week later.

Also little known fact, the emissions testing centers arent state facilities. Its run by a company that is contracted through the state of colorado (and arizona, wisconsin, and some other states) to do the testing.

OST was saying for an out of state vehicle. I think this is correct because my buddy who is a cop in the springs said he could not do my dads new f150. He bought it in PA. But the same guy has done a few of my vehicles.

Yeah, this is the new way of things. I have a few LE buddies that would fill out the VIN verification form for me on out-of-state vehicles I was trying to register. With that form I could then go into the DMV to register cars & trailers. It was easy, free and I could do it at my convenience. That's no longer an option and the last trailer I had to take to the Colorado State Patrol (yes, state owned) to get the proper form to register it. This requires a fee, appointment and driving all the way over there which is all inconvenient and pointless IMO. The DMV is getting out of control with their rules and regulations.

Fun story: The temporary registration period for a trailer in CO is only 2 weeks. The soonest you can get an appointment with the CSP to get the form to register it is 1-2 months depending on how their schedule is booked out. They will NOT give you an extension after the first temp registration. What genius came up with that?

Magpul is a rather large company. They've already moved their entire magazine production out-of-state as promised. They are currently fighting the new laws with the Sheriff's lawsuit and going to do what they can do help in mid-terms and what not to overturn these unconstitutional laws. In the meantime they're sorting logistics to relocate their entire administrative and operations out-of-state as well. Make no mistake, they moved a VERY large portion of production out-of-state already and Colorado will be missing out on lots of revenue in a locally started company. I guess we can afford to run off jobs & successful businesses right now.
