Thanks man! I wanted a pointed stinger like yours but the hoops look better on squares stingers IMO.. Once the sas gets going I think it will add a whole new look to everything

About to pull the trigger on new rear shocks, learned more about shock setups on here than I ever thought existed.

Looks like its come down to Bilstien 5100 or 5125's. I am all stock as far as height, just have 31.6" tires (sliders are adding a little weight). Looking to keep mostly stock height, possibly add an inch, but not too much, I don't want to have to do the front yet, so a minor rake would be okay. Maybe do an AAL down the road when i save up for front end shocks. I hear 5100 may be an issue with bottoming out unless AAL is done... i do ride with a topper or tool box at all times. also a lot of highway driving lately... unfortunately... Whats my safest call? 5100's or 5125's?
    Thanks guys!

5125's are exactly the same as 5100s, but come in different lengths.

rear shocks also don't add any height

but FWIW I ran a stock-length 5100 with my 2" toytec AAL and wheeled it enough to break the AAL; and didnt have any problems with the shocks...

Where did you see people having stock-length/height bottoming out problems?

I agree, they look better with the headlight hoop rather than the stinger

Cant locate it now, but various forums I read mentioned possible issue with the bump stops getting there moneys worth when running 5100s stock.

Ideally i would grab 5100's all around, but not able to get the $ for AAL, front coils, extended brake line ect... costs add up for a little bit of lift fast :(

the 5100's dont have much to do with ride height. what you're reading about is probably about how crappy stock toyota leafs are, and how saggy packs = trucks riding on the bumps when loaded

Just research what you want and save up for it... buying a cheap setup then swapping that setup for a better one then swapping that one for what you actually wanted is stupid expensive

ask me how I know hhaha

$425-450ish? I'm not sure, its been quite awhile since I got it haha. Regardless, it has definitely paid for itself countless time. No declared towing capacity, but I have had this behind it without any issues, among other things.
