    Towed a box trailer for 800 miles. It towed OK, but what a shock, the mileage went below 10 MPG-65 MPH, light load, flat land mostly. No problems, but WOW!

    Factory Monster Truck Package with reverse gear.
    Was the trailer higher then the cab of the truck? It has alot to do with wind resistance as well

    That doesn't sound too odd to me, I would expect that. I'm pretty happy if I average 10mpg or above when towing my trailer.
