If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
Just for shits 'n grins, here is my "Intro" post.

Flash back to Oct. 2010. I had grown tired of commuting 70 miles/day in my '96 Yukon, which had 220k on the odometer. I had gone through 2 trannys, 2 rear-ends, and completely rebuilt the top-end along with numerous ignition/fuel system tune ups and many aftermarket upgrades.

I bought my Tacoma on 10/18/10, and it was pretty much an impulse buy. I needed a long-bed for the extra space. I was playing in 2 bands at the time, and needed the room for transporting gear. I was originally gonna get the Access-Cab, but decided the DC offered much more space and comfort - the addtl storage was a plus, too.

I settled on a '11 TRD Sport DC/LB, and got the loan approved through my CU @2.9%. I went to the dealership to sign paperwork, and the Finance Manager said he could try to get a better rate. He countered w/ 1.9%, which I then leveraged with my CU to get them down to .9%. After all was said and done, I walked out @ $32,711 w/ 72-month warranty and 24k maintenance on my new truck.

I joined TW in Nov. '10, and trolled around for a bit. I really didn't have a direction for my truck and didn't plan on wheeling it much. I "thought" I knew what mods I was going to do, then TW really sank it's claws into my wallet. I scrapped most of my shitty ideas and started focusing on building a more-capable truck with versatile, "practical", and innovative mods that would be beneficial, relatively cheap, and still give me the DIY satisfaction of customizing my rig.

Here I am, almost 3 years and about $25k later (truck payments and mods). Still trolling, still learning, still spending too much money, still trying to "give back" to TW by contributing SOME ideas and positive feedback/criticism (along with the typical TW antics and shenanigans).

I gotta say, I have met a great bunch of people on here (in-person and virtually), learned more than my entire high-school career, seen some amazing places, conquered some impressive feats/mods, and laughed my ass off repeatedly. Who knew what started as a good resource would've turned into a full-time hobby.

Thanks to all the Mods, OGs, resident experts, Banned members, new-found friends, vendors, ass-hats, trolls, guests, and New Members for keeping TW alive and entertaining.  :mudding:

Yea, no need to read past the title - it's all fluff anyways. :D

It's all true though, I could write a damn Sociology thesis about TW.

:humble: thanks, I will be adding some new stuff to it soon.

If I only had $10k to do it all at once - regear, dual lockers, OBA, front/rear bumpers...

I'll just keep doing cheap mods on a modest budget...

What can I say, I have commitment issues and procrastinate too much.

Maybe that's why I haven't waxed my truck in over a year, and haven't gotten married after 11 years w/ my gf :p
