Don't know if you make it to Issaquah often - but I found Stan's to have very good BBQ. Having lived in Florida for twenty years I thought I would never find ribs that I liked much up here. Stan's are very good, IMHO, and they do great "to go" if we wanted to have a meetup at, say, Sammamish Park with food??

Just sayin'!! Gonna try Rainin' Ribs soon!! Thanks!!

Pecos Pit is my choice for #1 BBQ in Seattle (http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUser...Pecos_Pit_BBQ-Seattle_Washington.html#REVIEWS). Been going there since 1996 but I work on the Eastside now so it's difficult. Only open for lunch Mon-Fri.

Having never tasted the best of the best from the Midwest and Southern US, I can only offer it as a humble opinion. If Troy likes Raining Ribs, I gotta give it a try. What about meeting there sometime?

If we want to get together at a house, would be cool if a few of us can bring their BBQ specialties. I'd gladly put my name into the hat for hosting as well as brining food.

Zach - you made believers out of everybody. We all stood around with a little concern at the beginning of the day, but your truck made it through with flying colors. Guess it benefited from beer-power.

Luckily you had a trailer hitch which worked wonders as a hitch-connector-protector!

My wife is still unhappy about all the new scratches in the truck. I got a good one across the hood, but in looking at it more today, a little ScratchX should pretty well fix it all up. As for trailer wiring connector, well I have found that sears seems to be the cheapest place to get a new one of the same thing I had. I need to find a better spot for it when going off roading.

As for barbecue, the Naked Pig does all you can eat Tuesdays. They are in Snohomish. I have wanted to go to Dixies in Kirkland at some point just for the Man Sauce. Will called it. We need to have a meet just to share the barbecue.

Most of it is dusty and tight. 676 is the hardest, being muddy with climbs (see last video). I was the only one last year who somehow made it up on first attempt.

The armor is going to be the most important factor, but we've had people go stock + lift. I know I wouldn't want to have.

You would have a blast here.

Those trails look pretty tame. Looking forward to meeting everyone and having a little camp out. Now to: Install new front springs, replace newfound leaking front Bilstein, new front Tundra brake upgrade, reboot both front axles, install sliders that have been laying in garage for 3 months, and mayyyybe do valve cover gaskets. Fwew!

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I'm disappointed I can't make it this year, but if for any reason that weekend opens up, I'll be there for sure.

Here's the thread from last year's trip with the NWFJC grou

hehe, you say that now. The camera lies. The blue FJC is pegged getting up that mud. Also, stuff like this feels pretty hairy from inside.

... and all the good stuff is never captured on film.

Don't get me wrong, all the two-footed driving, folding mirrors in, and sliding backwards through mud is all worth it. It's so far the best trails I've ever been on, as a friend illustrates below!

I hope you do a writeup on this, i'm super interested.

page 9. You hittin' the sauce mid-week, boy?

also surprised you aren't posting pictures of 'cat scratch fever'
