how to turn fogs on with high beam

quick question. i see there are a few different ways to mod the fogs.. jsut wondering the quickest and simplest way to do this. i'm going to get an electral car dude to do it for me. but i want to get an idea on how long it should take him and tell him which way i want it done.

 

dont make anyone do anything or pay anyone. all it takes is one mini inline fuse holder and about 10 minutes if you count smoking a cig or taking piss in with it.

hmm ok... one dude said it could take 3 hours.. i guess ti dont.. what tools do i need?

 

a pair of wire strippers/clippers and some tape and a pair of needle nose pliers.

 

I misread the title as "How to turn FROGS on". Boy am I disappointed...

Its takes 5 min. I did mine last night. I have more pictures if you need them. But i will have to post them in an hour once i swing by my house to grab the memory stick from the camera.

Is there a way to do it where the fogs do not come on every few hours?


That is the only thing keeping me from doing this mod. I would never remember to shut it off when getting out and don't want calls from the neighbors that my lights were left on.

 

No because I turn them off. Press the button to off position. If you keep the button pressed in (On Position) they will turn on from what i have been told. Note that when you do this to know if it works you have to turn your truck on. I made that mistake last night and it took an extra 5 mins to check if everything was on right.

I used this. There is only one picture in it, so i had to ask someone exactly what they did. Thats why I snaped a couple of other pictures last night while doing it.

For that, you only need to splice into a wire and run a section of wire to the same bent terminal posted above. Connect using a female spade connector. That actually sounds easier because I don't need to ask the folks at Radio Shack for a "Add-A-Circuit dongle". And it is said that doing it this way does not cause the lights to turn on.

For those worried about splicing...I just bought some of the blue quick connects sold at any auto store or at Radio Shack. You put the two wires in place and push down on a metal tab that splices the wires together. No cutting, no wire stripping.

Here is what I used to splice into a power wire behind my radio...



Once you push the metal tab down (like a guillotine), you fold over and snap the L shaped piece to hold it all in place.
