The etching of "Evil"in the wheels ...the spikes and the grill. The led bar up front looks good.

I really appreciate the info, we are planning a 3 week trip out there in April, hope to see as much as possible and find a place to plan the move.

This to the T. We currently live in a community on a 1/8 lot with young families stacked on top of each other. Open windows are not an option unless you want to hear a pool party with 8 year olds screaming for 6 hours.

We like the idea of an HOA to keep the neighborhood in order, but nothing like the hell we have now. I got a warning letter because I put my garbage out 1 hour to early the night before pickup. I wish I was making this up.

We will both be keeping our current jobs in Florida and working from home, but I want to have a backup plan in case we need to pursue local options, I would like something within an hour commute. DTC is close enough to an hour in my mind, I'm sure the reality is quite different.

Haha, if I were in your shoes, I'd be movin to the mountains. Those big trees act as natural sound barriers. Plus, the wind blowing through the trees offers a great backdrop to mute any other possible unwanted sounds. Buy yourself a 1/4 acre lot that backs up to the forest. It's like having a 100+ acre backyard without having to pay for it, hehe.

...but that's just me. I'm not a fan of the flat lands.

I've got a buddy that lives in Boca that we stay with when we visit southern FL. Nice state but SO damn humid and I didn't think it was possible but you can actually get tired of seeing squashed iguanas on the roads. lol

Just don't keep anything you can't replace or walk away from in a moments notice in your home and make sure your insurance premiums are up to date and be ready to leave on a moments notice never to see any of it again 8 months out of the year. Other than that... it's perfect. ;)

We were on the same page, but got caught up in the wildfire scare. We don't want to leave one potential disaster zone that is Florida and move to another. Not that the plains are exempt from this. We hope 3 weeks of visiting the entire area will narrow the search down greatly. I have some friends in FoCo that suggested we move there but that is a bit of a drive to DTC if it comes to that.

That's more where I live and it is amazing here. This is my favorite area of all of Colorado to live. It is quite a haul from here to the DTC though if that's important. You can take the tollway for a few bucks and it bypasses most of the BS and is a good option if you don't have to do it every day of the week which it sounds like you may not. Still plan on 1.5hrs from Fort Collins though even taking the tollway. If traffic is bad on I25 this time will go up substantially. It usually is.
