2011 SR5 Double Cab Long Bed, lifted 3", 18" wheels with 32.6" tires. When these tires wear out I will step up to a true 33" A/T tire.

Click on the pic under my signature, it'll take you to my build thread.

Because I'm running 886x (biggest OME coil) and a 1/2" spacer there is a little rub between the coil and the UCA at full extension. Still got a solid alignment :)

Like I said, UCAs are in order.

basically unbolt your OEM pack, and replace it with a new pack, no factory leaves are used

Nope, nothing at all... Except for their uncanny ability to snap and not bear any load.

Snapped two sets on my 95.5 Taco SX, sold my OEM Gen 2 leafs to a guy with an 06 whose OEM leafs were soggy and limp, my buddy just snapped a leaf on his 05. That's just MY experience. Ask around a little and you'll see it's very common.

I'm sure if your truck stays on road and never has anything more than 100lbs in the bed than you will get some mileage out of the OEM leafs, but if you expect to utilize your truck to haul materials, do any work, or play off road you are in for a much different story. I'm not making this up. I'm a Taco man until the day I die, but there's a very good reason the first thing I did when I got home was rip out the OEM springs.

These trucks arent suppose to haul much weight. Passenger weight is included in that also. If you weigh 200lbs and got a buddy riding along and he weighs 200lbs. Maybe you got a full tank of gas too. Then dont expect to put 500lbs in the bed. Its only a 1/4 ton truck. Make sense?

I hear you, and like I said I'm a Taco guy since the inception of the line, but if you have a family of four in a DC then where are you supposed to put your camping gear? This convo has been had a million times so we don't need to have it again in this thread. We should spare the OP our ramblings and rantings ;)

I agree I just don't want the OP to be scared away from a Tacoma. Because I too think they are great trucks.

Op, the offroad to me had a little softer Suspension. I think that is to help it flex offroad an keep the wheels on the ground. Plus the locker helps for maximum traction. The sport handles curves and spirited on road driving better. Both have the auto lsd I believe.

Probably would. Tongue weight would be the number to look at there. IMO you would be best served with a set of Dakars out back. You'll be able to tow the boat and boat gear in the bed of the truck for years and years to come.

Bed full of hardwood. Barely squatted down at all, and rode really well.
