I'm so jealous of your truck! Thing is Sick! I could only dream of turning mine into something like yours... plus the FJ wheels top it off! Good job man!!

Played around a little bit today. Wanted to cycle the rear suspension just to double check everything I've been building. How close is too close to overextending a shock? At full droop my shock is at 29" eye to eye and full extension on the shock itself is 29.95". Anyways here are some pictures:

Full droop. 1/2" off the ground in these

Anybody running 35's? If so I would love some advice on what I need to do in order to prepare my truck for them. Please post on my build. Thanks in advance.

I'm not running them but I was planning on it so I did all my hw. Hardest part is tubbing the front which isn't really that bad. Then you'll have to trim the fenderwells too. Most open them up 1 3/4". Also gears are needed. Haven't read up on your build in a while so I'm not sure what you're running but most run 4.88 or 5.29. 4.88 is closest to stock but 5.29 gives you room to step up to 37's later if you want to.

Stock :anonymous: Haha I'm going to do 6" shackles and creeper joints later. I'll have to relocate my shocks again when I do that though

Basically it's the pinch weld mod x10 haha. You're cutting the whole thing out where the firewall meets the side of the body. Here's a writeup to give you a visual:

Oh, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but to go 35's you'll probably have to lose the fender flares.

Nice! I'm interested to see how that 10mm spacer works for you. I'm contemplating it for my setup once I get larger tires.

Yes. He will have to cut the fenders at least 1.5" out.

Cut and re cap the elite bumper too. Possibly sliders too
