I wonder if a 1" body lift would help some? What do you think?

Well I'll be dipped in shit. It still works....

I replaced the timing belt in my truck. Clueless high-school teachers aren't supposed to try that fancy stuff...

    I didn't destroy my engine.
It's idling happily outside as I write this, coming to temp.
I did it all myself, (with counsel from others and a LOT of swearing)
I made my own crank tool (well, friend Malcomb made it), and without an SST. I had to remove the AC compressor & underlying bracket (a total bitch).

I spent too much on tools I couldn't use.

It just kicked-down from high idle. (Music to my ears.)

I'm exhausted. That was the most terrifying thing I've ever done to my truck, as I was sure I had messed it up royally (perhaps I speak too soon? Knock on wood.)...

    ...I'll be damned...I did it....

Oo good call on the bumpers and sliders. Didn't pay attention to those

    Most def!

It would help, but it wont eliminate cutting. You'll still have to tub and trim fenders. Also your sliders and bumpers would have a 1" gap instead of being flush with the body

I like the kickouts. I ordered that option on the sliders I'm waiting on from Elite offroad. Post some pics when you get them on the truck Alex.....

    That looks great.

How durable is that vinyl and do you think it'll fade?

    Totally detailed. Inside and Out.
Really impressed with Surf City Trim dressing for those of you with fading trim pieces.

It's suppose to be a 5-7 year vinyl but they did say if your truck sits outside all of the time that it will fade some.
I love the way it turned out. Only time will tell how well it holds up.

Tested how well the front locker held pressure.

23min to the 1st compressor cycle. Another 43 min to the 2nd.

    I used enough teflon tape.

Yes I did. I've had it for over a year and I finally got around to putting it on.
