I don't think it matters. The closer it is though, the better the approach angle. Here's some inspiration for a "hidden" winch.

I Want It As Close As I Can Get It For That Reason, It Will Be Sitting above The Frame Rails, so Approach Angle Shouldn't Be A Problem Especially If I Can Mount It Right In Front Of The winch. Thanks! And Awesome Truck!

Scored a set of black clear corner lights for 18 bucks on ebay. They are so hard to find without the headlights and signals.

 

Removed, cleaned with a wire wheel, and painted my brake drums. I found a metallic red that matches my wheel logos and valve stem caps. It looks cool...on the rattle can lid.

Things learned:

1. My tires are really heavy. Much more than I was expecting.
2. The paint color I chose barely shows up on the drum dark base color. Should have gone with a better color or maybe a lighter primer first. Fail.
3. I was shorted a security lug nut on the rear passenger side when I got my new wheels/tires. Couldn't tell because the center cap was covering it. 5/6 lugs is Not Right, so I'll be going back to them today.

Also, question: Note what looks like a weight on the bottom of the drum face. There is one on both drums, but the other one is much smaller. My guess is that they're like tires and need to be balanced, and it doesn't matter which side I put them back on.

Is that correct?

 

If they are balanced..then I'd guess it matter as it's an axle not. Tire..but idk. Never seen that

Bedlined the bed caps and installed hi lift slide n lock rails.

 

that was my next guess. they use the same lights cbi does and the end of the bumper has the same kind of shape. thought it could have been the version one of their taco bumper

I powerbled my brake lines. I actually feels better than when I manually bled them... don't know why.

I only use OEM... I've heard of too many failures with everything else. That being said, Moog ones seem to hold up a little better than most after market brands.

 

You ever tried injinji socks with them?

They're fucking amazing

Probably talking about a bleeder tool. The ones at work are pneumatic and work like a vacuum to suck all the air out of the lines.
