The WTF is why on earth would you encourage guns in a school setting? More guns is NOT the answer to a gun problem. It only exacerbates said problem.

Nobody is saying it is a perfect solution. What they are saying is that the teachers undergo extensive training. Nobody is saying the teachers should go after the shooter, they're saying they should protect the students. Take a look at what has happened in all these shootings. When the shooting starts people run for cover. Many times they gather in classrooms. So far only luck has kept a shooter from entering one of these rooms. Ask yourself this. If your child was in one of these rooms, and a shooter came in, would you rather the teacher who ushered them in there for safety be armed or unarmed?

 

I'd hope the woman can shoot like Doc Holiday & tears some ass up.

Or if even a few of them "might" be armed. That potential for fighting back makes them think twice.

Also, to your point, where have all the mass shootings happened? In gun free zones. So obviously disarming the general population just sets them up as easy targets. My local school district started having armed guards/police patrol them after Newtown. I'm glad for that.
