    Hello everyone,

I just bought a new tail pipe (I say tail pipe I mean the pipe that connects from the muffler to the end) for my 96 Tacoma sr5 v6 4x4 but it has a loud noise and I don't like it. I already checked couple times and there is no hole at all but a loud noise at the tail pipe. Do you know what's wrong with it? What can I do to make that noisy goes away?

    Thanks

Might need to describe what kind of noise it is to get some feed back buddy.....a metallic vibration, a whistle, etc.

How would you describe the sound? Is it a rattle, a whistle, or is it just too loud?

It could be metallic virbration or rattle, but not whistle if I'm not wrong. Anyway I'll double check it and I'll try to video/record the sound to post here if possible. I'll check it this evening and then let you all know.

I'm not sure what you mean by this but my truck is just a normal truck with normal parts only.

I had a rattling noise after I got my muffler welded in.

Check your exhaust hangers, one might be touching the frame and making the noise.

Thank you for your subjection. I'll check it this evening or tomorrow because it rains a lot in here and I cannot do it on my drive driveway. I have a garage but it's full of trash.

Get under your truck, with it not running and cooled off, and bump the exhaust with your hand to try to recreate the noise. If it is a rattle, find out exactly what's causing it, then figure out how to make it stop. It's hard to diagnose an exhaust noise over the internet.

We can only assume OP's exhaust fell on him and killed him.

I already checked the exhaust with my hands but I didn't hear any rattle noise at all. The exhaust is tight and no noise. I believe it's not a rattle sound.

I did lots of searching and I believe it's the muffler because many people said the Flowmaster muffler is loud or louder than the stock one and mine is the Flowmaster.
