First time I did it, I couldn't believe how much better it rode in city traffic. No more fucking thunks, and the u joints being greased helps a lot too.

It's not a bad job once you get good at it. I can get it all greased up like a Mexican hooker, and change my oil under an hour...

Ok you don't need any additives. Just change the oils. that will be an all day job, I did all mine at the last oil change. I used Mobil 1 synthetic gear oil, but you can save a lot of money and just use regular gear oil. I did the front and back diffs, t case, transmission fluid, engine oil, and slip joint, and it cost just over $300 in fluids and shit... Glad you only have to do all that every 30k...

Good to know, I have some back thunks and clunks in the city. Figured she was just getting old.

The front is different than the rear. The fill and drain plugs take allen keys and you'll either need a fluid pump to fill or you'll have to get really creative shoving a bottle in there to squeeze oil in. I've always done it by squeezing the hell out of the bottles, hint, do the front diff before the x-fer case so you have all the full bottles for the front. You do NOT need any additives for the front, it is an open differential.

    No comment

If you have to ask, you can't afford it

You have a sport, off roads don't need additive in the rear diff either. A pump that screws into the top of the gear oil bottles worked well for me. Took forever but...

Ya I bought the Mobil1 syn gear lube and syn oil. I will have to grease the slip joint while under there. What does the transfer case take? It blows my mind that the trans doesnt have a filter

T case takes the same as the diffs. Tranny uses Toyota's ATF fluid you gotta buy at the dealer. I get all my oil and filters at the dealer anyways so it wasn't an extra trip.
