I am just curious. How many miles are you getting out of your break pads?

Dealership put new pads on when I bought mine, at 110k almost 3 years ago. Just replaced them last week at almost 170k miles, and I'm a pretty heavy braker.

I changed out the stock set at 130 K, almost all inner city hard driving miles, they still had a bunch left. The rears are original and getting replaced before fall, 150 K or so.

You guys make me jealous. Brake changes at or > 60K. :(

I changed mine exactly 1year after purchase (about 21K). This was actually normal as historically I change my pads on my daily drivers once a year. And I run ceramic pads.

    I've never run break pads.

Are they similar to brake pads?

Or are they some new mod I should look into.

I read this thread just for that reason. Haha. So many people ask questions about their "breaks". I also laugh when I read threads by people who ask about drum or "disk" brakes.

With 70K on my 07 the pads wearwise are fine. The damn things rattle when going over bumps :rage:

Yeah "disk breaks" are probably a computer problem.

    Did you mean Brake Pads?

You should be able to get upwards of 75K miles if they aren't abused ( Don't ride the brake pedal ).

Sorry if this post offends you, but I have to comment: That is insane! Either you are just throwing money away, Or you don't know how to drive.

To be fair, if he bought the cheaper quality pads they may only last some 20-30k. Perhaps an inspection though would be in order. The front brakes may be getting partially applied?
