Beefing up Tacoma- 265/65r17 tires

Are there any beefy looking mud tires in stock size 265/65r17? I can't seem to find any, other than 265/70r17s but that will affect the speedometer.

 

265 70 17's will actually correct your speedometer to dead on accurate with gps.

 

Actually from what I've read and seen myself, the 70's will actually set the speedometer about right. These trucks tend to be off a bit from the factory.

That's if you have a 2nd gen anyway.

To change to 265/70r17, I don't need to change the rims correct?

 

No you don't. The 17s you have will work fine.

 

Sweet, thanks for all the replies guys! Looks like I will go ahead and get the 70s with some XDs.

 

You may need to remove the little flaps on the front of the front wheel wells but they work just fine otherwise.
