It's a sipper high in alchohol. If you start with it, the end will be soon. :D Kind of like starting with a single malt scotch. I prefer these on cold nights or foggy days.

I'll start with the Avery 20th for IPA day but plan on finishing with this, just bottled Beast, 18.0% by volume.

Asher Brewing Co. in Boulder makes only organic beers with some excellent results, there is no reason you can't make great beer that is all organic, but it's just a marketing scheme for the larger players.

Now gluten free beer, all I've tasted have sucked.

The beast is kicking in, had to edit my grammar a couple times.

I had a growler of New Holland's Oak Aged Mad Hatter on IPA Day. The oak after-notes were prevalent, but not overpowering. Pretty good. Refilled it with their Black Hatter, which I'll break into later this week.

Also had a Sam Adam's Stony Brook Red. Probably one of the most complex beers I've ever had. Lost count of the different flavors we could pick out of it, but the high ABV probably didn't help us any in that area. Good, but definitely NOT a session beer! lol

I thought IPA Day was last Saturday?? Oh well. Gives me an excuse to get some Terrapin Hopsecutioner on the way home from work in a few hours. I love the looks you get when buying beer at 8am.

I was at Petco Park yesterday (my first time there), and this beer stand was heavenly. All San Diego-based brews. Needless to say, I indulged in a Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, two Green Flash West Coast IPAs, and a Stone IPA to and from Anaheim to San Diego (on the Amtrak).

    Good day!
