Looking for ideas of where to put a sub in my truck? Anyone here in TW have one installed in their Taco?

Also any recommendations to audio shops that do good installation work and sell quality product at a decent price?

    All suggestions welcomed!

Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
Most guys build a arm rest style aub encloser that fits in between the rear seats, and in between the front center console and back of the cab. I made a custom one to fit underneath the rear seat.

There is a bunch of threads on it, and i think subthump sells a box for access cabs

I have 2 Alpine 8'' subs in my AC and I'm happy with the setup. After realizing that what I originally wanted would take up way too much space and cost too much/be difficult to build I went with these Alpines.

It's also a plus that I can easily remove the subs or move them around in the cab should I have passengers in the back.

Just went to windward audio to price what a custom center console box would run me and they said about $350! Seems steep to me even though it is a custom box. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I had Advance Car Audio in Hilo do the work for me. The subs were about $200 a piece and labor to install was about $80.

kenwood does a nice 10 inch sub with box (excelon is model) that faces down. so it looks like a little black step and you put it on the floor behind either seat.. bumps perfect, excellent quality. bought um for 250.

    I did this.

It's a small enough box and with extra speaker wire I can move it around.
Most of the time I'm alone so I'll keep it behind the passenger seat. I sat in the seat and I'm 6"1" with long legs and I still had a couple of inches between my knees and the dash.

I can always just put it on one of the back seats or remove it if I need to carry too much stuff or people.

EDIT: I just realized that this is a regional thread. Sorry, my bad.
