Boost Gauge wiring???

Looking for the best place to run my Boost and AFR gauge wiring on my '13 Taco,,,I have the new Craven Speed Speed Flex pod which mounts on top of my steering column with no mods. Has anyone tried stright down the steering wheel shaft,didn't know how tight it gets down there......I have a pretty big drill and duct tape for last resort......gimme' some suggestions that doesn't include those two items.....

 

Run the wiring/tubing back behind the lower part of the dash over to the passenger side and then pass the tubing or pressure transducer wiring through the removable plug in the fire wall on that side. Much better than drilling and it puts you closer to the boost port anyways. Just did mine that way.

 

Any chance you could post a pic of where you went thru the firewall?

 

I will try to get to it sometime this weekend. I'm prety busy the next few days, so dont feel bad if you have to shoot me a reminder. Just as ease of description, its one of those black rummer plugs about 7/8"-1" in diameter covering about a 1/2" hole. I opened up the one at the top left side (facing the truck) of the passenger side. Its slightly up and to the left of ehre a large wiring harness enters the firewall.
