I have another question you guys could probably give me some insight on. I am wanting to lift my truck. I am sticking at 3". I don't want to spend a fortune as it will not be a hard core wheeling rig. However I don't want to go stupid cheap and get garbage or something that will hurt the truck. What would you recommend? How do you determine what height to go with front to rear to level the truck? What all parts do I need to change to do it properly?
    Thanks

OME lift, Dakar rear, bumpers, sliders, winch, SCS F5 wheels, ARE shell, EZtopperlift, etc.
Plenty of lift options on tacos. I'm in a 4runner so I have a different factory setup so I'm not fluent in tacos. There are several companies that make coilovers for the front of the rig: icon, toytec, saw etc. the front with ifs can go up to 3" lift but past that the front axles begin to have too much of an angle and you run the risk of damaging them. The rear is on a solid axle with leafs. You can do block lift which I wouldn't recommend if you plan to wheel at all or add a leaf for the cheaper options. Also check the classified section because guys will sell lift components a lot for cheap! Are you in a first gen taco or a second? And as far as install we should set up a day where we just have a get together and help people install their shit...so I can get my new front axles in haha

You also have the more fuel efficient and more powerful 4.0 while I have the ol' unstoppable but not so easy on gas 3.4 I get around 16-18. Ill have to recalculate it again to be sure that's correct. Shit, when I had my ol' 86 with a 22re I started with 12 mpg and when I finished I was getting a steady 22 mpg.

So who all's down for getting the trucks dirty or just getting together and having a meet and greet? Maybe get help installing some parts and what not?

We should all do a meet and greet soon. Grab some brews at bdubs or hooters or something. While we are there would could talk about future rides.
