The only things I have had stolen was food from the fridge at work. I did openly threaten to put magnesium citrate and/or other ex-lax type things in my food. It's crazy that I could get fired for putting this in my own food, but the person eating the stolen food, who, per policy should be fire for stealing, probably wouldn't.

Hey everyone I just arrived in co today from va. I have two questions. First off is there anyone in the Colorado Springs area that would be willing to help change the fluids in my truck. I just towed a 5X8 enclosed trailer with approx. 1,800 lbs across the country so I would feel better putting some fresh fluids in there. I'm pretty mechanically inclined but there's a few things I'm not sure about and I don't have a place to do it. I'll help and pay cash, beer and pizza, strippers or whatever you decide.

Question two. My wife has a vw jetta that has something wrong with the gas tank. It leaks fuel when it's filled up all the way. I'm guessing fuel pump seal. Are there any shops locally that are halfway honest?

    Thanks

Good friend of mine lives down there and im sure wouldnt mind us working on your rig in his driveway ... havent visited him in a while anyway so it would be an excuse to go down there for me.

As for the VW cant help there and im suprised people are even able to drive those things off the dealer lot when they buy em new, every single one that comes into my work usually has the check engine light on .... then theres something wrong with the air system so they fail for that ... A modern 4cyl car shouldnt NEED an air system to meet EPA emissions standards so VW is doing it wrong.

Under search and seizure laws, no, as they have made a conscious effort to put it somewhere where a reasonable person would have thought that it was trash and a reasonable person would believe that the item was trash.

If you stored your diamonds in the trash can, is that reasonable? Vs throwing away a credit card application and putting your trash out by the road and someone taking that app and stealing your identity.

I think what Ost is saying in a nutshell is, people become victims of their own lack of personal responsibility. In other words, they victimize themselves. Then...they blame other people, they blame the cops because we weren't doing enough patrols, they blame the criminals because they should have gotten a better job, had a better up bringing, or been put in jail longer for their previous crimes.

When, in reality, all we as society have to do is be responsible for our own shit. Thieves steal because people give them they opportunity, don't give them the opportunity and you won't get stolen from.

Am I saying that the thief is not at fault? HELL FUCKING NO! But stealing is easy, and most thieves commit crimes of opportunity.
